Rapid molding of tubes and hollow parts by induction: Fast Tube®
RocTool has recently patented a new technology for rapid
molding of thermoplastics or thermoset materials in the
form of tubes and other hollow parts.
Example:
- For a 300 mm thermoplastic tube section (Polyamide/carbon fibre)
Heating time : 45°C to 250°C in 30 seconds
Holding time : 20 seconds
Cooling : from 250°C to 40°C in 30 seconds
1 min 20 sec, complete cycle time
- For a 300 mm thermoset tube section (epoxy/carbon fibre)
Heating time : 45°C to 250 °C in 30 seconds
Holding time : 120 seconds
Cooling : from 250°C to 40°C in 30 seconds
3 min, complete cycle time
